Artist Relations & Booking at Festivál Cafe: Jessenia Nieves
Jessenia is the Artist Relations Manager at Festivál Cafe and the curator behind the cafe’s live music programming, including Social Sunday Sessions. A working musician herself, she understands firsthand what artists need to feel comfortable, supported, and set up for a successful show.
As a vocalist, guitarist, and band leader, Jessenia regularly performs across New York City at well-known venues such as The Bitter End, Prohibition, The Green Room 42, Otto’s Shrunken Head, and more. Her experience on stage directly informs how she works with artists off stage—prioritizing clear communication, thoughtful planning, and a seamless performance experience from load-in to the break-down.
In addition to her work as a performer, Jes brings a strong professional background in marketing, talent acquisition, and hospitality. She holds a marketing degree from the University of Connecticut and has independently produced live shows, handled bookings, coordinated events, and promoted artists across a variety of settings. At Festivál Cafe, she serves as the primary liaison between musicians and the venue, managing talent scouting, booking, promotion, and on-site coordination while advocating for both the artist experience and the integrity of the space.
Artists who work with Jes can expect a collaborative partnership rooted in respect and transparency. Her goal is to create an environment where musicians feel valued, heard, and confident—while building sustainable, community-driven live music programming that benefits both artists and the venue. You bring your music and your audience; she’ll make sure the space, staff, and flow of the night support your performance.
